Чим воюватимуть у Третій світовій? Нова українська зброя. Роман Романюк
Journalist Roman Romaniuk delves into Ukraine’s defence sector, revealing the stories behind its most iconic military innovations: the Neptune missile, which sank the Moskva warship; the naval drones that made the Crimean Bridge tremble in dread; the Bohdana self-propelled howitzer, which drove Russian forces from Zmiinyi (Snake) Island; the Baba Yaga bombers — and other weapons until recently unknown to the wider world.
The Weapons of World War III: Ukrainian Experience is the first book to chart modern Ukrainian armaments and their evolution from bold ideas to groundbreaking innovations — technologies reshaping not only the course of the Russo-Ukrainian war, but ultimately the very future of the world.
Roman Romaniuk is a political journalist, podcaster. He is the co-author of the podcast series Ukrainian 90s and 24.02: Reconstruction, which explore the origins of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He is also the co-author and host of the well-known podcasts UP-2, focused on politics, and UPOboroncast, dedicated to weapons and the defense sector.
Originally from Volyn, Roman studied writing at Ostroh Academy and at Kyiv National University. He has worked in political journalism since 2012. That same year, he was one of the initiators of a high-profile protest by journalists against censorship at the UNIAN news agency.
He has been with Ukrainska Pravda since 2013, where he has authored hundreds of notable articles revealing the inner workings of Ukrainian politics, dozens of interviews with top officials, and several investigative reports, including major pieces on corruption in the defense sector.
